Are you insured and bonded to perform maid and cleaning services?
Our insurance is the best available. We’re not “just” a bonded cleaning service, but have liability, crime and employee accident coverage. Your home, our team members and The Maids are included in the coverage. If you’d like, we will send you a certificate validating our insurance.
Must I be at home when you clean my house?
It’s your choice. Many customers of our house cleaning service prefer to give us a key. Others leave us a key in a safe place each visit. Alarm systems can either be left off or you can give us entry/exit codes. By far, the most efficient and problem-free way for everyone is for you to give us a key and alarm codes.
How do you protect my keys?
Your key is coded with a number; not associated with your name or address. Keys are secured in a locked key storage device to which only The Maids of Tallahassee managers have access. The key is issued to the cleaning service team leader on the day of your clean. The team leader returns the key at the end of the day and management returns it to the lock box. In the unlikely event your key is lost, we’re even insured for key replacement and re-keying your locks.
How many people will clean my home?
We work in teams of four, one of whom is a Team Leader (supervisor). Four-person teams prove to be the most efficient because each employee can concentrate on a specific task while in your home. Our cleaning service includes vacuuming, dusting, kitchens and bathrooms, all of which adhere to our unique 22-step Healthy Touch ® deep cleaning system.
What if I would like something cleaned that is not part of your house cleaning service?
The Maids Tallahassee offers a wide variety of additional house cleaning service options and special projects that can be tailored to your exact needs. Contact your local The Maids office for more information about specific projects and guidelines.
Do I need to provide my own house cleaning products?
No. The Maids Tallahassee will always arrive at your home in one of our yellow company cars with our own cleaning products and equipment. All of our products are environmentally-preferable and are safe for small children and pets. Visit our Healthy Touch® page for more information about the products our cleaning service team members will use in your home.
Will I always have the same cleaning service team?
We make every effort to have the same cleaning service team in your home. Occasionally there may be a change in a team member due to illness. The Maids Tallahassee team leader’s job is to learn your home and to teach the team members to deliver the quality that you would expect.
Are your house cleaning service teams trained and supervised?
Team members are trained before they’re permitted to enter your home. Training continues as we learn about new products/methods and to reinforce prior training. Each team includes a Team Leader to see that cleaning tasks are correctly completed. Managers make periodic visits to homes to ensure we’re meeting cleaning service commitments. We even have a person dedicated to Quality Assurance and Training.
How do I pay for your residential cleaning services?
Payment is due at time of service. You may pay by cash, personal check or credit card. A major credit card is required to secure the first cleaning. On regularly scheduled visits, we ask you to leave payment on the kitchen countertop. If you prefer to pay by credit card, we will handle that process from our office.
What are your rates for your house cleaning service?
Fees are based on the condition and size of the home. It is best to contact our Tallahassee office for an estimate. Our sales consultants will walk you through our cleaning processes and provide you with a price for a service that has been created to fit your specific needs. We provide a free, no obligation estimate for cleaning service in your home or over the phone.
Why are your prices higher than some of the other companies I’ve contacted?
There are many cleaning companies and individuals who clean homes illegally because they have not taken the proper steps to become a legitimate business. They don’t carry any insurance to protect the homeowner’s possessions and their own employees in case of injury. Many also hire illegal aliens and pay them under the table. Because of this, they have very little overhead and can charge low prices. Clients have no recourse for compensation from these companies if they are unsatisfied with the cleaning or if their belongings are broken or stolen. The Maids performs national and county criminal background checks and drug screens to be sure we are hiring the most trustworthy individuals to clean your home. We also spend a lot of time and effort to properly train all employees so you can expect the best experience as far as professionalism, efficiency and quality of work.
Is the work of your house cleaning service guaranteed?
The Maids Tallahassee backs all cleaning service work with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you’re unhappy with any area we’ve cleaned, just call within 24 hours and we’ll come back and reclean it free of charge.
Are your cleaning service employees authorized to work in the US?
The Maids franchises comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) and follow procedures to verify that employees are authorized to work in the U.S. All employees of our cleaning service are required to fill out Form I-9, the employment eligibility verification form, and provide necessary employment eligibility documentation, before starting work.
Do your employees speak English?
Yes, all of our employees are fluent in reading and writing English to ensure effective communication between The Maids and its clients.
Will your team get on step ladders to clean high areas?
The Maids of Tallahassee’s teams have two-step and three-step ladders. For any higher-to-reach areas, The Maids’ back pack vacuum with HEPA filtration has extensions that can be used to reach high ceilings and ceiling fans (up to 14′).
